My days in Taiwan are so great. It has been a blessing, as I have said before, moving to Taiwan to teach English and volunteer at Banner Church. As you should know from past blogs I have moved and done some traveling here in Taiwan. My new apartment is wonderful and I am slowly decorating the place to make it feel more and more like home. My wonderful roommate Josh is a blessing. We cook wonderful meals together and have great conversations about our lives as teachers. We are expecting our third and final roommate on November 14th. Wes will be joining in on all the fun soon so pray for his safe arrival and that God would provide a Job when he gets here.
My trip to Kenting was so great. It was a refreshing experience to get away for a while. God is so good that he has given me great traveling experiences and provided fun people to travel with. I have finally purchased a motorcycle after my ARC arrived in the mail. The ARC allows me to live in Taiwan as I work. It is necessary to have to purchase anything like a scooter, phone and DSL. The motorcycle is so fun. It is a 1991 RZX Yamaha 150cc bike. Is more of a race bike than a road bike but it allows me to get around town and travel. I can't wait to load it up and take it on a trip around Taiwan.
The weather here is getting cooler and it is great to have a break from the heat. My health card has also come in the mail and I am currently seeing a Chinese medicine doctor. I have been a couple times and already feel a difference. Please pray that God would guide his hands as he works my bones back into place. He recommends that I not work so hard. What a life.
I am still building some great relationships with my coworkers and have been encouraging them to try Church. It is rough to get through to them because most foreigners who come out here are not seeking God. But they are seeking a different life so they are looking for something. Please pray that my life would be a witness to the Freedom that Christ offers everyone through His death and resurrection. It is holiday fever so I am teaching the students about our western holidays. I can’t wait for Christmas.
We just finished midterms and the students are doing wonderful. I had an idea about praying for my students. I have included a link at the bottom of the blog. Please pray for them by name while you look at their funny pictures. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you as you pray. God bless.
