Warm Breeze Fund Raising Dinner
Banner Church supports and runs an organization called Warm Breeze. This organization gives an education to over 50 students whose parents cannot afford a normal education. The students are given a formal Chinese education and English training in a positive Christian atmosphere. Many of the students, in just one semester, have improved in their schoolwork and attitudes at school and at home. Over 70% of the students are in the top of their grade level. The children come from broken homes and need this positive influence that Banner Church offers. Warm Breeze is starting a new semester and has plans to expand the school to 75 students. They have done much fundraising for this program and one opportunity for the church members to help was inviting their friends to a fundraising dinner. Many of the church members attended this dinner and invited very influential city members. A lot of business owners came as well and donated graciously. One important person came because of an email sent from a church member that touched his heart. This person was the mayor of Taichung. His generous contribution along with many others put Banner Church much closer to their goal of three million NT dollars. Some of my coworkers were also able to attend the dinner to show our support. We had such great food and a lot of fun. I was asked to take pictures last minute and I was happy to help out. Once again my camera has been a great investment.
